Volkswagen's ID.4 electric crossover now offers up to 426 km range, more power, and updated features like one-pedal driving, all at the same starting price. Learn about the improvements.

Volkswagen has updated its ID.4 electric crossover, enhancing the base version's specifications without raising the price. The model's starting cost remains at €39,990, but its range has increased from 357 to 426 km. This improvement in autonomy comes from a larger battery with a capacity of 58 kWh, up from the previous 52 kWh. Additionally, the base electric motor is now more powerful, delivering 190 hp instead of 170 hp.

The updates also extend to the equipment. In the cabin, physical buttons have replaced touch-sensitive panels on the steering wheel. A one-pedal driving function and an improved driver assistance system called Travel Assist have been added. New software has also been implemented.

The all-wheel-drive ID.4 Pro 4Motion version now boasts increased power up to 299 hp and enhanced towing capacity of up to 1,800 kg. Prices for the other trim levels remain unchanged. Overall, these updates strengthen the model's position in the urban electric car segment, where range, driving comfort, and affordability are key considerations.
