Fiat launches design contest for compact cars of the future
Fiat partners with Italian design schools for a competition to develop compact car concepts based on 'Less is more' philosophy, with finalists at Milan Design Week.
Fiat has launched a competition for design students to develop a compact car of the future, in partnership with two top Italian design schools. The project challenges participants to create concepts based on the "Less is more" philosophy of the original Fiat Panda. Students will receive guidance from renowned designer Giorgetto Giugiaro and Fiat's head of design, François Leboine.
Three finalists will be selected by a jury, earning the chance to present their projects at Milan Design Week, scheduled for April 21–26. This initiative aims to uncover fresh ideas and approaches for compact models that could influence the development of new vehicles. Fiat hopes to bring innovative perspectives and solutions to the design of urban cars.
