KIA has launched the new EV2 electric crossover in the Spanish market. This model is now the brand's most affordable electric vehicle, targeting the mass-market B-SUV segment.

Dimensions and Practicality

The KIA EV2 belongs to the compact class, measuring about 4.06 meters in length. Its increased height provides a more spacious cabin compared to traditional hatchbacks.

Buyers can choose between two interior layouts: a classic five-seat version or an option with four separate rear seats and a larger trunk.

Technology and Range

Built on the E-GMP platform, the electric crossover comes with two battery options. The base version features a 42.2 kWh battery, while the higher-end model gets a 61 kWh unit.

Driving range reaches up to 317 km and 453 km on the WLTP cycle, respectively. Fast charging can replenish the battery from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes, which aligns with modern segment standards.

Price and Equipment in Spain

At launch in Spain, the Standard Range versions are available with two equipment levels. The base version starts from €29,450, and with discounts, the price can drop to €24,550.

Even the entry-level trim offers rich equipment, including a digital instrument cluster, a large multimedia screen, and a suite of driver assistance systems. The more expensive version adds a premium audio system, heated features, and expanded functionality.

Later, the lineup will expand with Long Range versions and the top-tier GT-Line trim. This will allow the model to compete not only on price but also on equipment level.

Overall, the KIA EV2 becomes a key element of the brand's strategy in Europe. Its affordable price, practical format, and modern technology make it one of the most attractive electric vehicles in its class.
