2027 Corvette Grand Sport: global expansion and hybrid performance
General Motors launches the 2027 Corvette Grand Sport worldwide, featuring a 6.7L V8 with up to 721 hp in hybrid form. Learn about its debut in the US, Canada, Europe, and more.
General Motors is betting on the global expansion of its iconic model. The new 2027 Corvette Grand Sport will debut not only in the United States but also simultaneously in several key markets worldwide.
Following its U.S. launch, the model will enter markets in Canada, Mexico, Europe, and the Middle East. This marks the first time the Corvette Grand Sport will achieve truly broad international presence. Deliveries will begin in the second half of 2026, with launches in Canada and some Middle Eastern countries expected closer to year-end. While exact timing for Europe remains undisclosed, the model's arrival there is confirmed.
The 2027 Grand Sport opens a new chapter for the model. It features a mid-engine layout and a new 6.7-liter V8 producing 535 horsepower. The top-tier Grand Sport X version adds an electric motor on the front axle. Combined output reaches 721 horsepower, positioning the model in the high-performance hybrid sports car segment.

This sales geography expansion underscores GM's ambition to strengthen the Corvette's position in the global market. For the first time, the model is planned for sale across four continents, including Europe and Oceania.
In practice, this means the Corvette is shedding its exclusively American identity. The new Grand Sport aims not only to uphold the model's heritage but also to establish it as a full-fledged global player in the sports car segment.
