Bentley recalls 44 Bentayga SUVs for tire placard issue

Bentley recalls 44 2025 Bentayga SUVs in the U.S. due to incorrect tire specifications on the placard. Learn about the safety impact and dealer fix.

Bentley has issued a recall for 44 Bentayga SUVs from the 2025 model year in the United States. The reason behind this move is surprisingly mundane for a premium brand: an error on the vehicle's tire information placard, which displays incorrect tire specifications and recommended inflation pressures, as reported by SPEEDME.RU.

The issue stems from a production glitch. Some vehicles were fitted with a placard that doesn't meet safety requirements. While it might seem like a minor detail, incorrect tire data could lead to the use of unsuitable tires or improper inflation, directly impacting handling and safety.

The recall affects vehicles manufactured from late September 2024 through July 2025. Importantly, this isn't a mechanical fault but a compliance issue. Bentley has a fix ready: dealers will replace the placard free of charge, a procedure expected to take roughly 30 minutes. Owners will be notified in May 2026.

This situation underscores that rigorous quality control remains paramount, even in the ultra-luxury segment. In today's automotive landscape, even a small error can trigger a service campaign. This case serves as a reminder that a modern car is defined not just by its engineering but also by strict adherence to standards. It's this meticulous attention to detail that truly separates the leading brands from the rest.
