European companies partner to develop electric micromobility vehicles
AMFI, Micro, and CEiiA collaborate on electric micromobility for private and commercial use, including models like Microlino and BEN with CO2 tracking.
Three European companies—AMFI, Micro, and CEiiA—have announced a strategic partnership to develop and produce electric micromobility vehicles. The project aims to create a comprehensive micromobility ecosystem for both private and commercial use.
Key models in the collaboration will include the Microlino and the BEN. The Microlino is already in use as a compact electric vehicle for urban trips, while the BEN targets commercial applications and features a digital platform for fleet management and CO2 emissions tracking.
Production of the BEN model is set to be established in Turin at AMFI's facilities. AMFI will handle the organization of serial production, including the setup of manufacturing processes and supply chains.
The partners will also combine efforts in technology development, covering shared platforms, electronics, and software. The project will incorporate CEiiA's AYR system, which enables the tracking and monetization of emission reductions.
This alliance spans various use cases, from personal transport to last-mile logistics. The focus is on compact electric cars for cities, designed to offer an alternative to Asian solutions and strengthen the position of European manufacturers in the market.
