General Motors begins delivering the Chevrolet Spark EUV electric crossover in Brazil, produced at the PACE plant. Learn about assembly, production rates, and market expansion.

General Motors has begun delivering the first units of the Chevrolet Spark EUV electric crossover assembled in Brazil. Production of the model started in December 2025 at the PACE plant in Ceará state, and after three months, vehicles began reaching dealerships. The initial batch consisted of approximately 250 cars. In the first days of logistics, shipment rates reached 70 vehicles per day and will increase as production ramps up.

Assembly follows the SKD method: cars arrive partially disassembled from China, then undergo final assembly, testing, and preparation for the local market. The Spark EUV is the first model at the new facility, with the Captiva EV set to join it later.

At the initial stage, the plant produces up to 400 vehicles per month, with prospects for increasing to 8,800 units annually. Production in the first weeks operated at limited volumes to fine-tune processes and ensure quality control. This electric crossover gradually expands the brand's presence in the urban electric vehicle segment, which is actively growing amid rising demand for affordable zero-emission models.
