Norwegian company Zyrus Engineering is preparing one of the most extreme supercars in recent years. The Strada R3 model will be a development of projects based on the Lamborghini Huracan and will go into production in July.

What's Under the Hood

The main feature is a reworked V10 engine equipped with two turbochargers. Power reaches 1,500 horsepower, placing the car in hypercar territory alongside models like Koenigsegg.

The engine essentially retains the Huracan's architecture but has been radically re-engineered. This is a rare case where a classic naturally aspirated V10 gets a second life in an era of hybridization and downsizing.

Lightweight Body and Extreme Aerodynamics

The car's weight is just 1,424 kilograms, making it one of the lightest in its class for this level of power. Meanwhile, downforce reaches 1,500 kilograms, which is comparable to racing machinery.

The design also emphasizes its track-focused character with X-shaped LED elements, massive air intakes, and a huge fixed rear wing. The body has been widened, bringing its dimensions closer to those of an Aventador.

The Final Argument for the V10

In practice, the Strada R3 becomes a manifesto against the full electrification of supercars. Even against the backdrop of new models with V8 and hybrid systems, Zyrus is betting on emotion and sound.

This project shows that interest in classic engines persists. And while such cars will remain niche, they are the ones that continue to shape the image of the high-performance segment.

Overall, the Strada R3 is not just another tuning project, but an attempt to preserve the V10 era in its most radical form.
