2027 Chevrolet Silverado Work Truck prototype unveiled
First look at the 2027 Chevrolet Silverado Work Truck prototype with minimal camouflage, featuring design upgrades and LED lighting for the base model.
The prototype of the new 2027 Chevrolet Silverado Work Truck has been revealed with minimal camouflage for the first time. This provides a clear look at the updates coming to the base version of the full-size pickup.
The vehicle is shown in a Regular Cab configuration and features steel wheels, confirming its work-truck status. The design, however, has undergone significant changes. The front end has lost the familiar grille with the CHEVROLET lettering, replaced instead by an element featuring the Bow Tie logo, a detail previously characteristic of more expensive trims.
The lighting has also been upgraded: the prototype now sports LED elements instead of the halogen headlights used in the current model. This points to an increase in equipment levels even for the base specification. Other changes include more pronounced body lines, a roof-mounted antenna, and a redesigned rear bumper with a central step. A new exhaust system variant with a side exit has also been noted.
These updates demonstrate the overall development approach for the model, where even base versions receive more contemporary design and technology. This aligns with trends shaping new vehicles for 2026 and future generations of commercial models.
