Fiat Grizzly SUV: a new 7-seater family SUV coming in 2026
Fiat is developing the Grizzly, a 7-seater family SUV set to debut in 2026. It features hybrid and electric options, starting around €25,000. Learn more about this new model.
Fiat is developing a new family SUV that could debut in the second half of 2026. Preliminary reports suggest the model might be named Grizzly, positioning it as a larger alternative to the Grande Panda.
The first hint at the name came from a brand social media post featuring the phrase "Make room for everyone" alongside an image of footprints in snow. This sparked speculation about the Grizzly name, which had been discussed previously among potential options.
The new SUV will be significantly larger than the Grande Panda, with a length of around 4.4 meters—putting it roughly on par with models like the Citroën C3 Aircross and Opel Frontera. Expect an angular design, generous ground clearance, and styling cues borrowed from the Grande Panda, including LED lighting with pixel graphics.
One of the model's key features could be an interior configured for up to seven seats. This would allow Fiat to market the vehicle as one of its top family-friendly offerings. Technically, the newcomer will be built on Stellantis's Smart Car platform. Engine options may include a 1.2-liter mild-hybrid turbo petrol unit producing around 145 hp, alongside electric versions with 113 hp and 156 hp.
Initially, the model will likely feature front-wheel drive, though a future all-wheel-drive variant with an additional electric motor on the rear axle could follow.
The SUV's premiere is expected in summer 2026. According to early estimates, the hybrid version could start around €25,000, with the electric variant priced from approximately €27,000.
