Cadillac launches the all-electric Optiq crossover in Australia and New Zealand. Features include a 33-inch display, 300 hp, and up to 425 km range. Priced from around 80,000 AUD.

Cadillac has officially launched the all-electric Optiq crossover in the Australian and New Zealand markets. This model serves as the new entry point to the brand's EV lineup in the region and is part of Cadillac's expansion strategy.

The Cadillac Optiq debuts in Sport trim. It comes equipped with a suite of modern technologies, including a massive 33-inch curved 9K display that combines the instrument cluster and infotainment system. Premium features also include an AKG audio system and a comprehensive suite of driver-assistance systems.

Powering the crossover is a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup. The system delivers a combined 300 horsepower and approximately 480 Nm of torque. The electric vehicle is fitted with an 85 kWh battery pack, which offers a usable capacity of 75 kWh and provides a driving range of up to 425 kilometers, depending on the testing standard. The model supports DC fast charging and utilizes the CCS2 charging standard, aligning with the regional charging infrastructure.

Positioned below the Lyriq, which previously spearheaded the brand's electric lineup in these markets, the Cadillac Optiq will be priced more accessibly. Vehicles destined for Australia and New Zealand are produced at GM's Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico and feature right-hand-drive configuration.

Pricing for the Cadillac Optiq Sport starts at approximately 80,000 Australian dollars in Australia and around 90,000 New Zealand dollars in New Zealand. The model joins the 2026 model year lineup, expanding Cadillac's presence in the competitive electric crossover segment.
