The refreshed SEAT Ibiza now includes a 1.0 TSI engine with 95 hp, enhancing performance and value. Base trim starts at €19,369 with features like LED lighting and adaptive cruise control.
SEAT continues to gradually expand the lineup of its refreshed Ibiza hatchback. The popular model now receives a long-awaited 1.0 TSI gasoline engine producing 95 horsepower, which becomes the new base turbocharged version of the car.
The refreshed SEAT Ibiza initially launched with a limited engine selection, with some powertrains added later by the manufacturer. Now, the range includes a three-cylinder turbocharged engine with a 1.0-liter displacement, developing 95 hp and 175 Nm of torque. It pairs with a five-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive.
The main advantage of this new version is its attractive price. In Spain, the base Ibiza+ trim with this engine starts at €19,369. More equipped versions like Style, Style+, and Style+Sound are priced roughly from €20,700 to €21,400.
Even the base trim includes a wide array of equipment: LED lighting, a digital instrument panel, a multimedia system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, adaptive cruise control, and an automatic braking system. Higher trims offer dual-zone climate control, wireless smartphone charging, a rearview camera, a larger multimedia display, and an upgraded audio system.
In practice, this new TSI engine effectively becomes the sweet spot between the 80 hp MPI naturally aspirated engine and more powerful versions. Adding the 95 hp turbocharged motor makes the SEAT Ibiza a much more compelling offer. For buyers, this is important since, with minimal price difference from the base engine, they get noticeably better performance, which could strengthen the model's position among the top cars in its segment.
