Kia introduces the EV5 GT, a powerful electric SUV with 306 hp, 476 km range, and advanced features like Virtual Gear Shift. Priced from 60,000 euros.

Kia has expanded its European EV5 lineup with the introduction of the sporty GT top version in Germany. Sales have already begun, with prices starting at around 60,000 euros.

This new variant is the most powerful version of the 4.6-meter electric crossover, featuring a dual-motor powertrain that produces 225 kW (306 hp). It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds, with a top speed limited to 180 km/h. The 81 kWh battery provides a WLTP range of up to 476 km.

Externally, the EV5 GT stands out with 20-inch alloy wheels and an exclusive matte Magma Red paint finish, available only for this version. Standard equipment includes an electronic control suspension (ECS) and a Road Preview function, where the crossover scans the road surface and adjusts the suspension in advance. A key feature of the GT is the Virtual Gear Shift mode, which simulates automatic transmission shifts with tactile and visual feedback for a more "mechanical" driving feel.

Inside, the cabin features sport seats with combined upholstery and bright neon accents. The front "Premium Relaxation Seats" come with ventilation and electronic adjustments, while the driver's seat includes an additional massage function. The model is equipped with three-zone climate control, a Harman/Kardon audio system, an electric tailgate, a heat pump, and V2L capability for powering external devices. The EV5 GT is also prepared for V2H and V2G operation, includes a head-up display, a fingerprint scanner, and an expanded set of driver assistance systems.

Overall, the EV5 GT emerges as a strategic flagship in Kia's electric SUV lineup, combining performance, rich equipment, and advanced technologies to strengthen the brand's position in the European market.
