Cadillac removes soft-close doors and decorative lines from the 2027 Vistiq electric crossover. Learn about the equipment changes and how it affects the car's premium features.

Cadillac will change the equipment of its electric Vistiq crossover for the 2027 model year. The automaker has removed the soft-close door function, which was standard on all versions of the 2026 model.

Previously, the soft-close system automatically pulled the door shut after a light push, ensuring a quiet and smooth closure. This feature was considered one of the hallmarks of the car's premium status. In the new version, it will be completely absent from the list of available equipment.

However, the option remains in other Cadillac models. For example, it comes standard on the flagship Celestiq and the electric Escalade IQ and IQL. On gasoline-powered Escalade and Escalade ESV models, the system is offered as part of some equipment packages.

Along with this function, Cadillac will also remove the decorative Mondrian lines on the rear side windows. The rest of the car's specifications remain unchanged.
