Mercedes-Benz CLA 200 Shooting Brake: a more affordable electric estate
Mercedes-Benz introduces the CLA 200 Shooting Brake, a new base electric estate with a 58 kWh battery, 224 hp, up to 525 km range, and a starting price of 49,561 euros.
Mercedes-Benz has expanded its CLA Shooting Brake electric estate lineup by introducing a new base model, the CLA 200. With a more compact battery and lower power output, this version is significantly cheaper than existing variants.
The new Mercedes-Benz CLA 200 Shooting Brake features a 58 kWh battery and an electric motor producing 224 horsepower. In the base Business Solution trim, the range reaches up to 525 km. For the Business Solution Luxury and Business Solution AMG versions, the range is 514 km and 512 km, respectively.
Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 7.6 seconds, with a top speed of 210 km/h. The electric vehicle supports fast charging at up to 200 kW. It can also tow a trailer weighing up to 1,500 kg. The boot space is 455 liters, and additional storage under the front hood allows for about 100 liters more.
Pricing for the CLA 200 Shooting Brake starts at 49,561 euros, making it several thousand euros cheaper than the CLA 250+ variant. The more expensive model comes with an 85 kWh battery, a 272 horsepower electric motor, and a range of up to 768 km. Its price begins at around 55,006 euros.
