Kia EV2 electric crossover: UK test drive weekends and features

Kia UK has announced a series of First Drive Weekend events for the new EV2 electric crossover. The events will run from April 16 to June 27 across nearly the entire dealer network, which comprises around 190 centres.
Each location will receive four EV2 models equipped with a 42.2 kWh battery, allowing for up to four test drives at once. Sessions are scheduled from Thursday to Saturday via online booking, with each visit lasting about an hour. The programme includes an individual model presentation and a 30-minute test route accompanied by a specialist.
At just over four metres long, the Kia EV2 offers a boot capacity of up to 362 litres. Buyers will have access to two battery versions: 42.2 kWh and 61.0 kWh. Built on the E-GMP (400V) platform, the model supports DC fast charging, taking roughly 30 minutes to go from 10% to 80%.
Standard features include a triple-screen multimedia system, over-the-air updates, Digital Key, Plug and Charge, vehicle-to-load and vehicle-to-grid functions, and a remote parking system. Prices and full specifications for the UK market will be announced soon, with first customer deliveries planned for late 2026.
