Geely has updated its EX5 electric crossover for the 2026 model year, fitting a larger 68.39 kWh battery in place of the previous 60.22 kWh unit. This upgrade boosts the WLTP range to 475 km for the Complete trim and 450 km for the Inspire trim. Notably, these figures surpass the base Tesla Model Y RWD (466 km) and the BYD Atto 3 Premium (420 km).

Both versions retain front-wheel drive and a single electric motor producing 160 kW and 320 Nm. The EX5 Complete is priced at $41,990, while the Inspire costs $45,990, representing a $1,000 increase for each trim. In practice, this means buyers get more range for a modest price bump.
Standard equipment includes a 15.4-inch multimedia screen, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a suite of driver assistance systems, and a 7-year unlimited mileage warranty. For buyers, this is important since it offers solid value and peace of mind.
Over 12 months of sales in Australia, the model has sold more than 4,000 units, securing a spot among the country's top five most popular electric vehicles.
