FSD V14.1.5 finally arrives on Tesla Cybertruck with smoother braking
Tesla rolls out FSD V14.1.5 to Cybertruck, closing its software gap. Expect smoother braking and a lineup aligned on the latest autonomy stack—read on.
Tesla has officially rolled out FSD V14.1.5 for the Cybertruck, closing the pickup’s year-long lag behind the rest of the lineup. The latest build of the autonomous driving system, which reached other Tesla models a month earlier, is now available to Cybertruck owners as well.
Despite being engineered as the brand’s most technologically advanced vehicle—with a 48‑volt electrical architecture and the Etherloop system—the Cybertruck went a long time without a full-fledged driver-assistance suite. Even early buyers of the Foundation Series, who had FSD bundled, only received the software in December 2024 with the release of FSD V13. It made for a curious mismatch: hardware out in front, software a step behind.
The FSD V14.1.5 update closes that gap. Build 2025.38.8.5 adds support for the Cybertruck and, according to early testers, delivers smoother braking than on the Model Y, where drivers had complained about a jerky feel under deceleration. The improvement suggests Tesla is ironing out some of the rough edges that drew criticism on the crossover.
While Tesla tends to prioritize its higher‑volume models, bringing FSD V14 to the Cybertruck is a meaningful step—now the company’s entire lineup is aligned on the current version of the autonomy stack.
Early trial runs indicate the Cybertruck can operate even more steadily than the passenger cars, underscoring the promise of its new vehicle architecture. For Tesla enthusiasts, this is a long‑awaited milestone that shows the Cybertruck has finally caught up in autonomous driving tech.
