MTM reveals a major upgrade for the Audi RS 5, increasing power to 812 hp. Learn about the hybrid tuning, performance specs, and how it rivals BMW M3 and Mercedes-AMG C 63.

MTM has announced a major upgrade package for the new Audi RS 5, which is offered in two body styles: a liftback and an Avant wagon. The Avant effectively replaces the RS 4 Avant, while the liftback rivals the BMW M3 and Mercedes-AMG C 63.

The production Audi RS 5 features a hybrid powertrain based on a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6. The gasoline engine produces 503 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque. A 175-horsepower electric motor is integrated into the eight-speed automatic transmission and draws power from a 22 kWh (usable) battery. Combined system output reaches 630 horsepower and 825 Nm. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h. Electric-only range is up to 80 km.

MTM has stated it is preparing a version with 812 horsepower, an increase of 171 horsepower over the standard figure. Details of the modifications have not been revealed yet. Performance is expected to become even sharper, with the 0-100 km/h time likely approaching 3.5 seconds.

This project demonstrates how automotive tuning can significantly enhance the performance of even modern hybrid models. Further information about the upgrade will be provided later.
