Renault will launch an updated electric Megane this spring, featuring new LFP batteries and cell-to-pack technology for over 480 km range. Part of four new UK releases.

Renault will unveil an updated version of its electric Megane this spring. The model will be one of four new releases from the brand launching in the UK market within the next 12 months.

The current Megane E-Tech Electric has been on sale since 2022 and features a 60 kWh NMC battery, offering a maximum range of 459 km. For the update, the car will receive new lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) cell-based batteries, which Renault is already implementing in Europe.

The company plans to use cell-to-pack technology, allowing more cells to fit in the same volume by eliminating the modular structure. This move should boost the driving range, with expectations that the Megane will be capable of covering over 480 km.

Exterior changes are also in the works. Renault aims to emphasize the model's sporty character by adding a more aggressive front bumper and a rear diffuser. The updated Megane will form part of Renault's strategy to strengthen its position in the electric vehicle segment.
