Mitsubishi L200 Series 7 pickup back on sale in the UK
Mitsubishi resumes UK sales of the L200 pickup with new engine, towing up to 3,500 kg, and starting at £36,295. Competing with Toyota Hilux and Ford Ranger.
Mitsubishi has resumed sales of the L200 pickup in the UK after a six-year hiatus. Orders are now open. The double-cab version starts at £36,295 excluding VAT, while the commercial variant begins at £37,495. The Titan trim serves as the base model, with the Barbarian version priced from £39,995.
The L200 Series 7 is equipped with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder diesel engine featuring twin turbocharging. This engine delivers up to 201 horsepower, outperforming the 1.9-liter diesel in the Isuzu D-Max, which produces 162 horsepower. Transmission duties are handled by a six-speed automatic gearbox. The pickup introduces a new all-wheel-drive system that allows switching between 2WD and 4WD, includes a low-range transfer case, and offers seven driving modes.
Towing capacity maxes out at 3,500 kg, with a payload of up to 1,000 kg. In the double-cab configuration, the model has grown 95 mm longer and 15 mm taller than its predecessor, while maintaining the same width of 1,815 mm.
The Titan trim comes with 17-inch wheels, a rear differential lock, a 360-degree camera, climate control, and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Barbarian adds 18-inch wheels, LED headlights, a leather interior, and dual-zone climate control.
This move returns the model to a segment where it competes with the Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger, and Isuzu D-Max, remaining popular among those selecting vehicles for small businesses.
