Porsche Cayenne Coupe EV: electric SUV with 1500 hp and 600 km range

A. Krivonosov

Discover the new Porsche Cayenne Coupe EV, a radical electric SUV with up to 1500 hp, 600 km range, and ultra-fast charging. Launching in 2027.

Porsche is actively finalizing development of the new Cayenne Coupe, a model set to become one of the most radical updates in the lineup's history. This sporty SUV marks the first full transition to electric propulsion, with changes so profound they effectively create a new generation. It's aimed at customers already familiar with hybrid versions and ready to take the next step toward EVs.

Visually, the new Cayenne Coupe stands out from the current generation. It features distinctive rectangular headlights, a smooth closed-off 'electric' nose without a traditional grille, active aerodynamics with controllable flaps, and a more elongated coupe silhouette. Slim rear lights emphasize the model's width and technological appearance, while Turbo versions will get special aerodynamic 'wings' to reduce drag at high speeds.

Porsche aims not only to preserve the Cayenne's sporty character but to enhance it. Base versions will deliver over 500 horsepower, while top-tier modifications will develop nearly triple that—around 1,500 horsepower. This will allow the electric Cayenne to decisively outpace even the most powerful PHEV versions of the previous generation. In practice, all modifications except the Turbo GT will retain a five-seat cabin and gain an expanded technology package with three screens and a new digital architecture.

Range and charging speed remain crucial. Porsche promises at least 600 kilometers of range and ultra-fast charging: from 10% to 80% in under 16 minutes. The system also includes energy recuperation via powerful brakes and optional inductive charging.

The global premiere is expected by the end of 2026, with sales starting in early 2027. The new Cayenne Coupe will become Porsche's flagship electric SUV and a key element of the brand's electrification strategy.
