Isuzu India has quietly launched the updated D-Max V-Cross for 2026, with a starting price of €23,800. The model features cosmetic updates, an expanded feature set, and the discontinuation of the previous 4x2 version, which has raised the base price by €1,150.

Exterior changes include a revised grille and bumpers, along with new wheel designs for the Z Prestige trim, which now sports 18-inch 12-spoke alloys. Plastic wheel arch extensions have been removed, and the LED side repeaters in the mirrors are now slimmer. At the rear, gloss black plastic replaces chrome accents.

Inside, the cabin feels more modern thanks to a new 10.3-inch touchscreen with wireless smartphone connectivity, a 360-degree camera system, and improved acoustics. Brown faux-leather inserts add to the updated interior trim.

The powertrain remains unchanged, with a 1.9-liter diesel engine producing 163 horsepower and 360 Nm of torque, paired with either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. The key technical update is the complete removal of the 4x2 variant: all versions now come with 4x4 and a standard automatic locking differential, enhancing the model's off-road capability.

This strategic move away from 4x2 effectively reshapes the V-Cross's positioning. Previously competing with utilitarian pickups, it now targets the premium lifestyle pickup niche dominated by the Toyota Hilux. The increased focus on off-road performance and expanded equipment could strengthen Isuzu's appeal among buyers who see a pickup not just as a tool, but as a versatile SUV with an open bed.
