Isuzu has launched the updated 2026 D-Max Hi-Lander with a price tag of approximately €19,600, introducing key changes including an automatic transmission now available for this version for the first time. The pickup's exterior remains largely unchanged, but it now features LED projector headlights with daytime running lights and LED taillights.

The interior receives a significant upgrade: it gets a 7-inch multimedia screen with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, power-adjustable mirrors, climate control, and remote locking. In the automatic transmission version, cruise control and a rearview camera are available.

Safety features include two airbags, ESC, traction control, and hill start and descent assist systems. The engine stays the same—a 1.9-liter diesel producing 161 horsepower and 360 Nm of torque, paired with either a six-speed manual or the new six-speed automatic transmission, with rear-wheel drive only.

The addition of an automatic transmission to the Hi-Lander marks a significant move: Isuzu clearly aims to bring the basic work version closer to the comfort level of the V-Cross without increasing the price. This is an important step in a segment where competitors are actively expanding the equipment of affordable pickups, and the market is shifting toward more comfortable yet still utilitarian models.
