Mitsubishi ASX Black Edition launched in Spain with hybrid engine

Mitsubishi is strengthening its bestseller's position in Spain with the launch of the new ASX Black Edition series. This special version complements the existing Motion, Kaiteki, and Kaiteki+ trim levels, adding a more refined touch to the compact SUV in terms of both design and equipment. Orders are now open, with the first deliveries expected soon.

The Black Edition targets buyers looking for a compact SUV with a stylish edge. It comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels, full LED lighting, tinted windows, a digital instrument cluster, and a multimedia system supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Additional standard features include a rearview camera, heated front seats, keyless entry, automatic climate control, lane-keep assist, parking sensors, and an e-Call emergency system.

Two engine options are available. The gasoline-powered 1.2 Turbo produces 115 horsepower and 190 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive. This setup is aimed at drivers who prefer classic dynamics and moderate fuel consumption. The hybrid HEV version is the key differentiator for the Black Edition. It combines a 1.8-liter gasoline engine with two electric motors for a total output of 160 horsepower, mated to an automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.

Pricing starts at €25,072 for the 120T version and goes up to €30,640 for the HEV. Mitsubishi positions the Black Edition series as offering an optimal balance of price, design, and technology—exactly what today's buyers are looking for in the compact SUV segment.

The company expects the Black Edition to boost sales of the model, which remains a key offering for the brand in the Spanish market.
