Dacia introduces hybrid versions of the Sandero and Sandero Stepway with a 153 hp powertrain, improved fuel economy, and updated safety features. Learn about the new hybrid models.

Dacia continues to refresh its lineup with new hybrid versions of the Sandero and Sandero Stepway models. These updates align with the brand's ambitious strategy for electrification and improving the quality of its vehicles.

The new hybrid powertrain features a 1.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine paired with an electric motor. Combined output for the hybrid version is 153 horsepower, which is 52 hp more than the standard petrol-powered Sandero. However, the classic three-cylinder engine delivers greater torque—200 Nm compared to the hybrid's 170 Nm. The new hybrid models are expected to be significantly more efficient, with improvements in fuel consumption and reduced CO2 emissions.

A key focus of the hybrid updates is fuel economy. While exact figures for the new Sandero have not been released, it is already known that the similar Jogger hybrid achieves 4.6 liters per 100 km and has CO2 emissions of 104 g/km.

Dacia has also introduced styling and equipment changes. For example, higher-spec Sandero Stepway trims now offer new systems such as a multi-view camera and automatic headlights. All new vehicles also meet the latest safety standards, including driver inattention warning and autonomous emergency braking.

With the new hybrid versions of the Sandero and Stepway, Dacia continues to deliver compelling offerings for drivers who value both environmental benefits and improved efficiency.
