BMW introduces the Edition Shadow special edition for the 3 Series in Japan, featuring black accents, 19-inch wheels, and premium interior upgrades. Sales start at 6.87 million yen.

BMW has expanded its 3 Series lineup in Japan with the introduction of the Edition Shadow special edition for both sedan and Touring wagon models. Sales have already begun through official dealers starting at 6.87 million yen, with customer deliveries set to begin in April. This new version builds on the M Sport trim and represents a further update to the current generation, which itself is a refreshed version of the seventh-generation model that debuted in 2019.

The Edition Shadow focuses on visual enhancements. For the first time on the 3 Series, it features 19-inch BMW Individual 1038i wheels that emphasize the car's sporty character. The signature kidney grille and exhaust tips now come in black, creating stronger contrast and a more aggressive silhouette. The Touring retains the key advantages of its architecture—increased cargo space and driving dynamics comparable to the sedan.

Inside, the updates follow the same theme. The special edition gets new aluminum trim, a first for this series, along with silver accents on controls that add a premium feel. An optional High Line Package includes leather seats, a heated steering wheel, and an upgraded instrument panel with soft-touch materials.

Overall, the Edition Shadow gives the 3 Series a more distinctive style while maintaining the dynamics and proportions that have made the model a favorite in the premium compact segment.
