Renault has expanded its Symbioz crossover lineup with a new mild-hybrid version. Previously, the model was only available with the full E-Tech hybrid system.

The new variant features a 1.3-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine paired with a mild-hybrid setup. It delivers a combined 140 horsepower and 245 Nm of torque, working with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This puts it 20 horsepower below the full Symbioz E-Tech 160 hybrid.

Pricing for the Renault Symbioz Mild-Hybrid 140 EDC starts at €37,790 in the Techno trim. An Esprit Alpine version is also available for €39,390.

Meanwhile, the full hybrid remains the most affordable option in the range. The Symbioz E-Tech 160 in Evolution trim starts at €36,290. In the Techno trim, this version costs €38,290, which is €500 more than the comparable mild-hybrid. The full hybrid is also offered in Esprit Alpine (€39,890) and Iconic (€42,390) versions.
