Toyota confirms the ninth-gen Hilux debut on Nov 10, 2025. Teaser shows sharper design; leaks point to bigger infotainment and 2.8 diesel with 48V mild-hybrid.

Toyota has officially confirmed the premiere date for the new Hilux: the ninth-generation pickup will debut on 10 November 2025. A brief teaser shows a double-cab version with reshaped headlights and daytime running lights, a more sculpted hood, and a substantial front bumper. The footage also reveals new black wheels and revised taillights. The visual changes come across as purposeful rather than flashy.

The cabin remains under wraps, but patent-image leaks already outline the key bits: a larger infotainment screen, a refreshed instrument cluster, and a twin glovebox. It all points to Toyota leaning into comfort and tech while keeping durability and everyday practicality intact. That balance feels deliberate.

Under the hood, preliminary information suggests the proven 2.8-liter turbodiesel will carry over, potentially paired with a 48-volt mild-hybrid setup. As before, the pickup rides on the IMV platform, which it shares with the new Land Cruiser FJ. Sticking with familiar hardware signals continuity, while the mild-hybrid option nudges efficiency forward.

Hilux has long stood for reliability, and the ninth generation appears set to layer in modern tech and hybrid efficiency. Rather than reinventing the legend, Toyota seems intent on making it tougher and smarter.
