Great Wall Motor launches Haval Jolion Pro in Germany with 177 hp engine

Great Wall Motor continues to expand its European presence by launching the Haval Jolion Pro, its second SUV in Germany. At around 4.5 meters long, this C-SUV segment model will hit the market in late February.

Under the hood, a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine delivers 177 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 190 km/h. The WLTP fuel consumption is rated at 7.4 liters per 100 kilometers.

Externally, the Jolion Pro stands out with sporty body cladding, black decorative elements, and an LED light strip at the rear. Inside, it features a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25- or 12.3-inch multimedia screen depending on the trim. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are supported.

The base version already includes dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, power-adjustable driver's seat, and a panoramic sunroof. Pricing starts from €24,990.

By 2027, GWM plans to introduce nine new models in the German market, expanding its SUV lineup to compete with European and Korean cars from 2025. In practice, success will likely hinge on balancing price and equipment levels amid stiff competition.
