Discover the MINI Paul Smith Edition electric car launching in 2026. Explore its unique design, special color palette, power specs, and pricing details for the Cooper E and SE variants.
In 2026, MINI will expand its electric three-door lineup, focusing not just on technology but also on emotion. The first half of the year will see the launch of the Paul Smith Edition, a special designer version born from the brand's long-standing collaboration with the legendary British designer.
This isn't a mere limited edition; it's a full-fledged design project that blends MINI's philosophy with the unmistakable style of Paul Smith. While not their first joint effort, this marks the first time the 'classic with a twist' principle has been applied to a fully electric MINI 3-Door. Visually, the Paul Smith Edition stands out with a specially developed color palette.
Key hues include Statement Grey, with a bluish undertone inspired by the classic 1959 Austin Seven, and Inspired White, a modern take on the original Mini's beige. Midnight Black Metallic also features in the palette.
The distinctive Nottingham Green, a nod to Paul Smith's hometown, accents the grille, mirrors, and roof. The roof itself carries the brand's Signature Stripe, while an alternative Jet Black version features a mix of matte and glossy black stripes. The look is completed by 18-inch Night Spoke wheels bearing the designer's signature.
The interior continues the theme of individuality. It features knitted black surfaces on the dashboard and doors, Nightshade Blue sport seats with signature striped inserts, and colored stitching on the steering wheel. The central circular display gets exclusive graphics available in a personal mode, while hidden details like a welcome light projection and custom inscriptions enhance the feeling of a collectible product.
In the Italian market, the MINI Paul Smith Edition will be offered exclusively in the electric Cooper E and Cooper SE variants. Power outputs are 184 hp and 218 hp respectively, with ranges reaching 300 km and 400 km. Pricing starts at €36,250 for the Cooper E and €40,250 for the Cooper SE, which is €6,750 more than the standard versions.
The MINI Paul Smith Edition is a rare example of an electric car becoming more than just transport—it's a design object. Yes, the price premium is noticeable, but for those buying emotion, style, and individuality, this MINI looks like a justifiable choice.
