Rolls-Royce Spectre electric coupe long-term battery support

Rolls-Royce has announced a long-term support program for its Spectre electric coupe, including a commitment to replace battery packs for at least 25 years. The brand positions the Spectre not just as an electric vehicle, but as a future collector's car designed for decades of use and ownership transfer.

The company stated it has already planned for the production and supply of new battery modules for the Spectre until the middle of the century. This approach aims to address a key concern for affluent buyers and collectors: the fate of the battery as the vehicle ages.

According to Rolls-Royce, a Spectre prototype completed over 100,000 kilometers of testing in various climates and retained 99 percent of its battery capacity after 62,000 miles. These results formed the basis for a 15-year, unlimited-mileage battery warranty.

In 2025, the Spectre became the second most popular Rolls-Royce model globally, outselling the initial sales of the Wraith coupe and Dawn convertible. Most customers opted for bespoke configurations, suggesting long-term ownership intentions.

This battery support strategy underscores Rolls-Royce's approach to electrification as part of its broader durability philosophy. Against the backdrop of rapid technological change, the company seeks to establish the Spectre in the 2026 model year segment as an electric vehicle built for decades of service.
