Cadillac raises the 2026 Celestiq price to $400,000. Hand-built at GM’s Tech Center, it adds Smart Glass roof, 55-inch display and concierge customization.

Cadillac has officially raised the price of its most expensive electric model. The 2026 Celestiq now starts at $400,000, roughly $60,000 more than last year’s version. Despite the change, every car remains singular—from the way it’s engineered to the color of its leather stitching.

More than a flagship, the Celestiq is Cadillac’s first modern coachbuilt car. Each example is assembled by hand at GM’s Technical Center in Michigan at a pace of fewer than two vehicles per day. In 2025, only 25 cars were produced, and all of them were spoken for before the debut.

The company links the higher price to a richer standard specification: eight years of connected services now come included, as does the signature Smart Glass roof with four independently dimmable zones. The cabin plays up its digital theater—there’s a 55-inch display spanning the entire dashboard, and the front passenger can watch video that remains invisible to the driver.

There’s no online configurator here. Instead, each buyer works with a personal concierge to choose materials, colors, and finishes. The process is deliberate and detail-obsessed, and the result is effectively a one-of-one—an automobile crafted as much as it is manufactured.

In the ultra-luxury EV space, direct rivals are scarce. The closest challenger is the Rolls-Royce Spectre, though it offers only two doors. Cadillac, by contrast, delivers a hand-built, four-door grand tourer—proof that American luxury still knows how to surprise.
