Learn about the Hyundai IONIQ 3, a compact EV with Art of Steel design, set to launch in Italy by 2026. Features include Aero Hatch style and E-GMP platform.

Hyundai is preparing to debut the new IONIQ 3 model. According to Italian media reports, the premiere is expected in the coming months, with the compact electric vehicle set to launch in the Italian market by the end of 2026. No exact presentation date has been announced yet, but the company states that the countdown has already begun.

The IONIQ 3 will be a compact electric model, measuring just under 4.3 meters in length and entering the B-segment. This car will develop ideas from the Concept THREE, which was showcased at the Munich Motor Show in September 2025.

The production version is reported to feature a new design language called Art of Steel. Its exterior will adopt an Aero Hatch style, with a low front end, a roofline that gradually slopes down toward the rear, and a small ducktail spoiler. Overall shapes are already clear from prototype photos. Front and rear lighting is expected to use Parametric Pixel optics, similar to other models in the IONIQ lineup. The rear also shows a slightly inclined rear window and a spoiler.

Initial interior photos reveal a digital instrument panel on a small display mounted higher on the dashboard. In the center, there will be a screen for the new PLEOS multimedia system with an updated interface. The IONIQ 3 will be built on the E-GMP platform with a 400-volt architecture. This model is seen as a key element in Hyundai's growth strategy for the European market.
