Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the updated S-Class, announcing a comprehensive overhaul of its design and technology. The brand has revised over half of its components, placing a stronger emphasis on comfort, digitalization, and performance.
Premium Design and Interior
The flagship's exterior now features a large radiator grille with the iconic star emblem and new lighting units with an increased illumination area. Hood lighting and turning headlights that use navigation data highlight the technological advancements of this update.
Inside, Mercedes has introduced the new MBUX architecture with three large screens, an enhanced voice assistant, and navigation based on Google Maps. New additions include heated seatbelts, more comfortable seats, adaptive air vents, and expanded multimedia options for rear passengers.

Engineering and Powertrains
The key update is the new V8 M177 Evo engine for the S580 variant, which combines 537 horsepower with a mild hybrid system. The inline six-cylinder engines have also been refreshed, offering up to 449 horsepower. These are complemented by a 48-volt starter-generator. For the market, hybrid versions are available with a 22 kWh battery and a range of up to 118 km.
The legendary V12 engine has been retained, now fitted to the armored VR10 variant—the only one offered at the start of the lineup. The suspension has become proactive, with road condition data updated through other Mercedes vehicles.
Comfort, Dynamics, and Customization
The S-Class features air suspension, an extended rear-wheel steering range, and the E-Active Body Control system for top-tier configurations. Clients can opt for fine-tuning through the Manufaktur program, which offers hundreds of body colors and interior trim options. By blending hybrid technology, intelligent electronics, and thoughtful ergonomics, Mercedes is strengthening the flagship sedan's position among premium models.
