Leapmotor launches four new electric vehicles in Spain for 2026
Chinese automaker Leapmotor expands in Europe with four new EVs in Spain, including the B10, B05, B03X, and A05, targeting affordable electric vehicle segments.
Chinese automaker Leapmotor closed out 2025 with record sales and is gearing up for an even more aggressive expansion into Europe. Spain is emerging as one of the brand's key markets, with the company preparing four new models and expanding its dealer network to capitalize on the growing demand for affordable electric vehicles.
Key 2026 Launches and the Brand's Strategic Push
Following a successful European debut, where Leapmotor has already outsold Smart and DS in electric vehicle sales, the company is accelerating its model rollout. First to market will be the B10 crossover in a long-range version, followed by the B05 electric hatchback, which promises over 500 kilometers of range. In the autumn, the urban SUV B03X will arrive. Like the B05, it will be produced in Spain at the Stellantis plant in Figueruelas.
These models form the core of Leapmotor's new portfolio, targeting segments from city EVs to compact crossovers. Local production in Spain reduces logistical costs and builds trust with Spanish buyers.
The Year's Main Intrigue: The New Leapmotor A05
The final debut will be the A05, another city car designed to strengthen the brand's position in the sub-€20,000 EV segment. The A05 is expected to inherit the technological base of the larger A10 and become a direct competitor to the BYD Dolphin Surf, which dominates the affordable five-door EV space. If Leapmotor can keep the price close to its Chinese market level, the model could become one of Spain's best-selling EVs.
Strengthening the Dealer Network and Brand Recognition
Leapmotor is also scaling up its infrastructure, planning to grow its dealer network from 65 to 80 centers in 2026. This strategy aims to build trust and localize service, a crucial factor for new Chinese brands in Europe. With rising sales of the T03 and a solid start for the C10, Leapmotor expects to establish itself as a leader in the budget segment by the second half of the year.
