Discover how ABT Sportsline enhances the Cupra Terramar with a 320 hp engine, sporty wheels, and subtle design tweaks. Learn about the tuning package and its impact on this compact crossover.

The Cupra Terramar, the brand's compact crossover, has barely hit the market but has already caught the eye of tuner ABT Sportsline. ABT has unveiled its own version, boosting the turbo engine and adding signature visual details. The project is relatively restrained but noticeably enhances the Terramar's dynamic potential.

As one of Cupra's newest models, the Terramar rolled off the production line in Hungary in 2024. It's built on the MQB Evo platform, sharing its technical base with the Audi Q3, VW Golf, and SEAT Leon. Now, the crossover joins the queue of ABT tuning projects, which typically enhance factory powertrains and subtly tweak the exterior. For the Terramar, the company has chosen this exact approach: minimal aggression in design, with maximum focus on the car's character.

Externally, the Terramar gains signature ABT wheels, contrasting black elements, and badges on the grille and tailgate. The front end is largely unchanged, but accents on the lower bumper create a more cohesive and sporty look. According to ABT, the interior hasn't been modified yet, which explains the lack of official cabin photos.

The main changes are under the hood. The standard 2.0 TSI engine, producing 261 hp and 400 Nm, has been reprogrammed to deliver 320 hp and 450 Nm. This is a significant gain for a compact crossover and a typical ABT solution: minimal intervention with a tangible effect. The package costs €2,990, including tax and a five-year warranty.

Additionally, the tuner offers 21-inch wheels starting at €2,759, along with small interior accessories like buttons and paddle shifters, which cost from €110 and €290 respectively.

In the market, the Terramar is positioned as an emotional and affordable entry into the Cupra world, priced notably lower than the Formentor while retaining the sporty sub-brand's character. For ABT, this model is of interest as a platform with great potential, since its technical architecture is familiar to the company thanks to numerous projects based on the MQB Evo.

Boosting the engine and making minimal exterior tweaks has allowed the tuners to offer a concise solution for owners who want to stand out without radical changes. In a landscape of high demand for fast compact crossovers, the Terramar with ABT modifications becomes another competitor in the niche of sporty family models.
