Donkervoort P24 RS unveiled as brand's most advanced sports car
Discover the Donkervoort P24 RS, a lightweight sports car with 600 hp, 0-100 km/h in under 2.5 seconds, and exclusive production of 150 units. Explore its hypercar-level performance and technology.
Donkervoort has officially unveiled the P24 RS, a new sports car that stands as the most radical and technologically advanced model in the brand's history. It continues the company's philosophy of minimal weight and maximum driver engagement, but elevates it to a level comparable with hypercars from major manufacturers.
According to SPEEDME.RU, the Donkervoort P24 RS is built around a turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine sourced from the Ford GT and adapted for an ultra-lightweight sports car concept. This engine produces up to 600 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque, paired with a five-speed manual transmission that sends power exclusively to the rear wheels.
Drivers can select from three power modes—400, 500, or 600 horsepower—allowing the car's character to be tailored for road or track use. With a weight of less than 780 kilograms, the P24 RS accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in under 2.5 seconds.
The suspension features adaptive Tractive dampers, adjustable traction control, and fine-tunable chassis settings, enabling lateral g-forces of up to 2.3 g. This performance firmly places the P24 RS in the realm of dedicated track tools. The body and structural components are made from Ex-Core carbon fiber, a proprietary Donkervoort technology that allows large carbon parts to be produced without an autoclave by foaming the material inside a mold. This approach delivers high structural rigidity with minimal weight and simplifies low-volume production.
Aerodynamic elements are removable: with the full kit installed, the car is track-focused; without it, the setup is more versatile for everyday use. Despite its extreme nature, the P24 RS remains relatively practical. It includes an 8.8 cubic-foot trunk, a fully digital instrument cluster, a GPS lap timer, and an electric parking brake.
The cabin ergonomics are designed to accommodate drivers over two meters tall, a rarity in this class. Only 150 units of the Donkervoort P24 RS will be produced. More than a third of the production run has already been purchased by the brand's loyal customers. Pricing starts at €298,500, underscoring the model's status as an exclusive, hand-built sports car. It will also be available in the U.S. market in limited numbers.
The Donkervoort P24 RS is a rare example of how a small company can create a car that challenges the biggest brands in terms of emotion and performance—not by copying their approaches, but by staying true to its own philosophy.
