General Motors has unveiled the Chevrolet Onix Track Day 2026 show car in Brazil. This prototype serves as the final highlight of GM Brazil's centennial program, marking 100 years of operations in the country. The company describes the model as a commemorative project and part of its tradition of creating unique vehicles for significant milestones.
The Onix Track Day is developed as a special track-focused hatchback based on the new Onix body—GM's best-selling model in South America. Local engineers and the motorsport team prepared the car. At its heart is a turbocharged 1.2-liter engine tuned for track performance.

According to Ricardo Fanucchi, Director of Engineering at GM South America, the project leverages the strengths of the production Onix—its dynamics and aerodynamic efficiency—and enhances them with modifications that make the car more precise and responsive to drive.
The show car features a black paint scheme with yellow stripes on the hood, roof, and mirrors. It also sports unique wheels, a rear spoiler, and a suspension lowered by 100 mm. The number 100 is displayed on the doors, symbolizing GM's century in Brazil.
The prototype has been lightened with a stripped-down, track-focused interior that removes standard components, and it's tuned for maximum output. Reports indicate the Onix Track Day can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 8 seconds. After its debut, the vehicle will join the brand's historical collection.
