The plug-in hybrid SUV Lynk & Co 08 has set a Guinness World Record by driving 293 km in full electric mode. It's recognized as the longest-range production PHEV crossover for electric-only driving.

The test took place on December 22 at the Centro Dinamico Pegaso track in Mexico City. Conducted under conditions close to real-world use, a professional driver maintained an average speed of 50–60 km/h for over six hours. To ensure an objective result, data specialists were involved, and engineers checked the vehicle's technical condition before and after the test.

This achievement surpasses the claimed 200 km WLTP range in electric mode. Lynk & Co notes that with typical city driving of 30–50 km, such a range allows using EV mode for more than a week.

Built on the CMA platform, the Lynk & Co 08 features a 1.5-liter turbo engine (137 hp), an electric motor (208 hp), and a 39.6 kWh battery. The total WLTP range is stated to be over 1,000 km. With DC fast charging, the battery can be replenished from 10% to 80% in 33 minutes.
