Porsche has unveiled a unique conversion of the 718 Boxster S, transformed into a professional camera car. According to Tarantas.News, the project was assembled by nine trainees at Porsche’s Leipzig plant back in 2017 but is only now being presented officially. The car is used to film promo videos and test drives at the Porsche Experience Leipzig center.

The standout feature is the reworked front compartment, now set up for a camera operator. To make that possible, the team fitted the luggage bay with padded panels and safety belts. In place of the soft top, a tall frame serves as a rigid mount for filming equipment.

The body is finished in matte black to avoid reflections, while the cabin adds outlets and wiring for hooking up cameras and laptops. In this form, the Boxster becomes a practical tool for creating content about new Porsche models, capturing the brand’s lines without shake or glare—on set and out on the track. The execution feels thoughtfully pragmatic yet neat, a solution that makes filming look effortless.
