Leapmotor launches the B10 REEV hybrid SUV in Italy, offering up to 900 km range at under €30,000. Features include EV modes, advanced tech, and two trims for the compact SUV market.

Leapmotor has launched a new version of the B10 REEV in Italy—a hybrid with a gasoline engine-generator that offers an alternative to traditional EVs and provides a long range at a price below €30,000.

Prices and Trims

The Italian lineup includes two trims: Life and Design. The base price is €29,900, but with a promotion for trading in or scrapping a car, the cost drops to €25,900. The Design version comes with richer features, including heated and ventilated seats, an electric tailgate, and enhanced comfort. The Life trim already offers a 14.6-inch screen, CarPlay/Android Auto, a heat pump, and an advanced Level 2 ADAS suite as standard. This package makes the B10 competitive in the compact hybrid SUV segment.

The B10 REEV uses an electric motor as the primary source of propulsion, while the 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 68 hp acts solely as a generator. An 18.8 kWh battery provides up to 80 km of electric range under WLTP standards. According to Leapmotor, the total range reaches 900 km thanks to a flexible energy management system with modes like EV+, EV, Fuel, and Power+. Support for LEAP OS 4.0 Plus and a 14.6-inch central display creates a level of digitalization comparable to more expensive models.

Market Impact and Prospects

The sales launch in Italy strengthens Leapmotor's positioning as a brand focused on affordable technology with extended range. The B10 REEV could attract customers who are not ready to switch to pure EVs but want to enjoy the benefits of electric propulsion. For the C-SUV segment, this is a logical addition amid growing interest in range-extender systems, which can alleviate concerns about charging infrastructure.
