Hyundai updates the Bayon for 2026 in Spain with a streamlined engine lineup, new Black Line and Style trims, and enhanced standard features. Prices start from 24,557 euros.

Hyundai has updated its Bayon lineup for the 2026 model year in Spain. The brand's most affordable SUV has lost its ECO environmental label after the removal of the 1.0-liter T-GDi with a 48-volt mild hybrid system, which produced 100 horsepower. The naturally aspirated 1.0 MPI engine with 79 horsepower is also no longer available.

Now, the Bayon is offered exclusively with a 90-horsepower, three-cylinder 1.0 T-GDi gasoline engine. Buyers can choose between a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed DCT automatic, with front-wheel drive as the only option.

In practice, this means the lineup has been streamlined. Hyundai has revised the trim levels, dropping the Klass, Maxx, and XLS versions in favor of new Black Line and Style trims. The current range includes Essence, Black Line, Tecno, and Style. Even the base Essence trim comes well-equipped, featuring a 10.25-inch multimedia system with navigation, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a rearview camera, and a suite of driver assistance systems.

Overall, the picture is straightforward: the focus is on simplification and standard equipment. For buyers, this is important since it clarifies the options. Prices in Spain start from 24,557 euros for the Bayon 1.0T with 90 horsepower and a manual gearbox.
