Fabia Monte Carlo 130 Edition: Škoda Builds Its Fastest-Ever Production Fabia

Škoda Reveals Fastest-Ever Fabia With 177 HP Engine skoda-storyboard.com

Škoda has launched the Fabia Monte Carlo 130 Edition in Turkey with a 177 hp 1.5 TSI engine, hitting 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds and topping out at 228 km/h.

Škoda has launched the Fabia Monte Carlo 130 Edition in Turkey, powered by a 1.5 TSI engine tuned to 177 hp. The extra power hasn’t made the Fabia 130 Edition more torquey than the standard 1.5 TSI version: peak torque stays at 250 Nm. The main changes show up at higher revs, where the engine now produces 177 hp, and the recalibrated DSG holds gears longer before shifting. In Turkey, the hatchback is priced at 2,524,000 lira.

The anniversary version is built on the Fabia Monte Carlo. The sprint to 100 km/h takes 7.4 seconds, and top speed reaches 228 km/h — making it the fastest production Fabia ever built. For comparison, the standard 150 hp 1.5 TSI version is 0.4 seconds slower. The gearbox gets raised shift points, double downshifts in Sport mode, and revised braking logic.

The chassis has been reworked too: ride height drops by 15 mm, the steering and stability control are retuned, and 18-inch wheels are fitted. That sharpens responses on smooth asphalt, but it’s a mixed bag on rough roads. Low-profile tires cost more, absorb sharp bumps less effectively, and are more prone to damage, while the lower ground clearance calls for extra care on driveways and in winter.

Visually, the edition stands out with a black roof and pillars, a different spoiler, a diffuser, twin exhaust tips, red brake calipers and 130 Edition badges. Inside are sport seats, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and an 8.25-inch infotainment screen. There’s also dual-zone climate control, a rearview camera, wireless charging, and front and rear parking sensors.

The Fabia 130 is interesting for more than just power: it keeps the familiar 1.5 TSI unit and doesn’t try to pass itself off as a full-blown hot hatch. Buyers should check the price of 18-inch tires, the availability of sport suspension parts, and the warranty terms on the tuned engine — those are the costs that will set the anniversary car apart from a regular Monte Carlo. According to 32CARS.RU, this marks the quickest Fabia the brand has ever put into series production.
