Kia EV2 Long Range: how trim level and wheel size change the real-world range

Kia EV2 Long Range starts at €32,688 in Spain. We break down how trim and wheel size affect the 453 km WLTP range and charging speed.
Paying extra for the bigger battery doesn’t guarantee the same range across every Kia EV2 trim. The Long Range model can cover up to 453 km on the WLTP cycle, but the actual figure depends on the trim and wheel size: heavier 18- and 19-inch wheels cut into range. That’s why choosing between Air and the pricier GT-Line or Black Line shouldn’t come down to equipment alone.
In Spain, the entry-level EV2 Long Range Air is priced at €32,688. Earth costs €36,813, GT-Line — €41,113, and Black Line tops the range at €44,113.
Every version uses a 61 kWh NMC traction battery paired with a front-mounted 135 hp electric motor producing 250 Nm of torque. The 0–100 km/h sprint takes 9.5 seconds, and top speed is capped at 161 km/h. Kia quotes a 10–80% DC charge in about 30 minutes, though the real figure depends on battery temperature and charger output.

Air already comes with two 12.3-inch screens, adaptive cruise control, a rear-view camera and a full collision-avoidance suite. Earth adds heated features, navigation and a Harman Kardon sound system. GT-Line brings a heat pump, ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera and V2L, letting the car power external devices. Black Line gets a panoramic roof and remote parking.
For regular highway driving, the Air with smaller wheels makes more sense — it’s cheaper and stays closest to the official range. GT-Line justifies its premium with the heat pump, which cuts winter heating drain. Before ordering a pricier trim, it’s worth checking the WLTP figure for the specific wheels chosen: the headline “up to 453 km” doesn’t apply to every configuration.
