Jetour Lser F700: A Full-Size Hybrid Pickup for Work and Adventure
The Jetour Lser F700 is a large ladder-frame pickup from Chery's Jetour brand, revealed by Chinese MIIT. With a 2.0L hybrid engine and ultra-low fuel consumption, it targets both work and off-road adventures.
The Chinese MIIT has revealed the Jetour Lser F700, a large ladder-frame pickup from Chery's main brand. The model isn't fully detailed yet, but it's already clear this isn't a lifestyle pickup for urban photo ops. It's a big machine built for rough roads, long hauls, and outdoor adventures.
Dimensions are substantial: 5495 mm long, 2050 mm wide, and 1985 mm tall, with a 3350 mm wheelbase. That makes it noticeably larger than most mid-size pickups, placing it in the full-size utility class where a ladder frame, durability, and cargo capacity matter most.
Two seating configurations are announced: 2+2 and 2+3. This hints that Jetour is targeting not just work vehicles but also travel companions. In China, such pickups are increasingly marketed for camping, off-roading, and family trips, not just construction or farm use.

Under the hood is a 2.0-liter engine producing 210 hp. The standout figure is a certified fuel consumption of 1.39 L/100 km. Such a number is impossible for a conventional gasoline pickup, so this is clearly a plug-in hybrid that can handle short trips on electric power.
Full specs for the battery, electric motors, range, and payload haven't been released yet. But the direction is clear: Chery, through Jetour, is bringing a large pickup to market that looks like a body-on-frame SUV with a bed, yet aims to compete with compact hybrids in fuel economy.
For buyers, this formula could be appealing if real-world numbers match the claims. Large pickups typically frighten with fuel consumption, but the Lser F700 bets on the opposite: plenty of metal, a big body, and a promise to run noticeably cheaper than traditional gasoline rivals.
