Fiat cuts 500e and 600e EV prices in France as sales tumble

Facing a sales slump in France, Fiat launches a clearance drive: 500e from €15,900 and 600e from €22,900. Discounts and possible rollout to Spain soon.

Fiat is going through a rough patch in France: EV sales are tumbling, inventories are piling up, and competition is getting fiercer. To turn the tide, the brand under Stellantis has launched a major clearance drive, pushing prices for the 500e and 600e to record lows.

The most affordable 500e Pop with a 23.8 kWh battery now starts at €15,900 including government incentives, whereas it previously cost €28,900. The discount reaches €8,400. With a 95 hp motor and up to 190 km of WLTP range, this compact EV now looks far more convincing for city use.

The larger 600e crossover, rated at 156 hp and offering 406 km of range, receives a similar cut — its entry price drops to €22,900. Standard equipment includes an infotainment system, climate control, and keyless entry.

Analysts report that in the first ten months of 2025, 500e sales fell by 73%, while the 600e slid by 67%. The social leasing program Fiat had counted on did not deliver, so the company is moving aggressively on price to clear stock before year’s end — a pragmatic move when showrooms are already loaded with cars.

Experts believe these promotions could soon reach Spain. If that happens, the 500e would for the first time go head to head on price with the Dacia Spring — a scenario that only recently seemed out of reach.
