Tesla rolls out FSD demonstration rides in the Netherlands, featuring automatic lane changes and traffic light stops, with full launch pending regulatory approval.

Tesla has begun rolling out its Full-Self-Driving (FSD) feature in the Netherlands. The system hasn't yet received final approval for full use by private owners, so these are currently demonstration rides.

The FSD package includes advanced driver assistance features like automatic lane changes, stopping at traffic lights, and pulling out of parking spaces. In the U.S., the system already allows hands-free driving, provided the driver monitors it via the in-car camera.

In the Netherlands, the initial phase of FSD is only available as "instructor-led rides." A specially authorized Tesla employee sits behind the wheel to demonstrate the system's capabilities while awaiting final regulatory approval. Interested parties can sign up for these demonstrations online, with rides starting from Tesla Stores in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, and other cities.

The full launch for customers is expected after legal approval. Tesla aims to complete this process early in the year. Expanding autonomous driving features strengthens the brand's position in the urban electric vehicle segment, where software capabilities are becoming a key factor in purchasing decisions.
