Lotus Emeya sets a fast-charging record: 0–80% in 13:35 with 443 kW peak. 98.9 kWh, 800-volt CTP battery, up to 610 km WLTP, 450 kW network and HyperOS routing.

Lotus has announced a new fast-charging record: the Emeya electric hyper-GT charged from 0 to 80% in just 13 minutes 35 seconds, reaching a 443 kW peak. The run was carried out by official dealer Lotus Al Ghanim in Kuwait using a proprietary 450 kW DC charger.

Emeya is the brand’s flagship hyper-GT, offered in S and R versions. Both use a 98.9 kWh battery. The S delivers up to 610 km on the WLTC cycle, while the more powerful R is rated for up to 484 km.

The key to that result is a new cell-to-pack battery architecture that fits 20% more cells into the same volume, alongside a reworked cooling system. An 800-volt platform helps cut thermal losses and withstand ultra-high currents. It’s a clear, engineering-first route to shorter charging stops without simply upsizing the pack.

Lotus notes that even in Kuwaiti conditions the Emeya maintains charging stability. Up to 310 km of range can be recovered in 10 minutes. Updates for the 2026 model year raise the range to 610 km on the WLTP cycle. On the road, those figures promise brief, predictable breaks rather than long waits.

In parallel, the brand is expanding a 450 kW charging network in Europe and refining its HyperOS software for intelligent route planning. In the United States, the Emeya is already on sale starting at $74,900, with the R topping out at $115,000. Pairing high-power hardware with smarter routing is exactly what turns headline numbers into everyday convenience.
