Here are the car models that outmuscle the legendary Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, once regarded as a record holder with a top speed close to 431 km/h and roughly 1,200 horsepower.

The electric Xiaomi SU7 Ultra stands out for its numbers: it is equipped with an electric motor delivering a peak 1,526 hp and sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.98 seconds. It also turned in a stunning Nürburgring performance, lapping in under 7 minutes 4 seconds—figures that leave little doubt about its focus on outright pace.

American company Shelby Super Cars developed the SSC Tuatara, fitted with a twin-turbo V8 good for 1,750 hp. A track-focused version turns the wick up further, with output reaching 2,200 hp. Its recorded top speed exceeded 475 km/h, placing it firmly among today’s quickest machines.

Hennessey Performance Engineering has unveiled an updated iteration of its creation, the Hennessey Venom F5 Evolution. The revised engine produces 2,031 hp, while fresh aerodynamic elements and an adaptive suspension system aim to improve stability at very high speeds—smart upgrades when sheer velocity is the brief.

Croatia’s Rimac Nevera R is distinguished by four individual electric motors delivering a combined 2,107 hp. In 2025, the model set several world acceleration records, becoming the fastest electric hypercar—a technical showcase that backs up its promise with the stopwatch.

The Chinese Yangwang U9 Xtreme rounds out the list of the world’s most powerful cars. Its claimed specs are staggering: output exceeds 3,000 hp, which puts it well ahead of rivals—whether they run on gasoline or electricity—at least on paper.
